FIDES 4, just like three generations of its ancestors, is certified as an EN A category and follows the legacy of antique goddess Fidés. Just like her, our FIDES 4 provides reliability and support to novice pilots looking for safety, easy steering and joy of their first shy steps into the sky.
FIDES 4 is a robust glider for intensive use while preserving the qualities of flight and SKY Paragliders touch of handling and feeling. Our team led by Alexandre Paux reached the goal of designing a quality wing suitable and pleasant to fly for any pilot, matching the highest safety requirements, which allows the schools all over the world to use FIDES 4 as a training glider.

FIDES 4 is also delivered as a paramotoring wing and can be ordered with special PPG risers with the trimmer tabs, please note that the glider is not certified when used with PPG trimmers tabs.
R&D comments
We were aiming at a high stability glider, to be easy to take off even in rough air, which has been achieved by innovated shape of chambers on the leading edge. Adiprene reinforcements have been newly applied on all open ribs which maintain a better keep shape of the wing profile and increase resistance to frontal collapses.

Own colours
Customise the colours of your SKY glider
To design your own glider, use the tool below. When you have decided on your own unique colour scheme COPY the name of glider and colours picked (for example: Fides 4: Gold / Red Dragon / Deep Blue) into your order. ANY colour combination is available.
Gliders with personalised colours are available only at extra cost. The delivery time depends on the load of the workshop and may vary depending.

Materials
Canopy
For the canopy construction, we used a brand new generation of materials from our French supplier Porcher Sport, Skytex Universal. The upper and lower panels as well as the leading edge are made of Skytex Universal 38, 38 grams per square meter, with water resistant coating E25. For the profiles and diagonals we chose the even more durable Skytex 40, 40 grams per square meter, with E29A coating. All materials are made of polyamide fibres (PA 6.6) with “Rip Stop“ structure from American company DU PONT.
Line scheme
For the lining on FIDES 4 we used the high quality material from German company EDELRID. These lines have high mechanical abrasion resistance and length stability. For the upper cascade we used ELDERID 7850–080 lines. These lines are one millimetre in diameter and the core is manufactured of “Dyneema” and the outer sheath from polyester. The lower lines are EDELRID 7850-200 (1,6 mm) and 7850-160 (1,5 mm), main brake lines are from EDELRID 7850–200.
Risers
The risers are manufactured from 20 mm wide webbing supplied by our supplier MOUKA TIŠNOV. The suspension lines are connected to the risers by carabines type DELTA 3.5 mm made by the French supplier Peguet.
