Safety Notice
Applying to Gii2 alpha, Excite 2 & 3, Axel, Revel 2 & Skywish 2
harnesses.
In some cases the force required to release the reserve handle from the first stage of the reserve container has been higher than recommended.
The retaining strap is secured with Velcro. When pulled in certain sheer directions or after time, the Velcro may become overly secure.
We recommend that you first make a simulated test pull of the system as per the manual in the first instance.
If more than a desired force is required to release the handle then a simple retro fit solution can be made by placing a 2x1cm piece of Velcro (male) to blank off the centre section of the Velcro tab. See Photo.
In any case, the correct procedure to install a rescue on a harness remains the same.

• Install the reserve in the reserve pocket on the harness
• Pull the reserve out to check that it can be released in the proper way.
• Install the reserve in the reserve pocket of the harness a second time according to the procedure that has been proven successful

Please note; only Gii alpha is affected within the Gii harness range.
